MARS was founded on a simple belief — that the most important work in the music industry happens before anyone else is paying attention. Structuring the right deals, building the right teams, developing the right creative foundation, and protecting what artists create. That is what MARS was built to do.
MARS was built by someone who spent two decades making the most consequential creative and business decisions in Latin music — from the studio floor to the executive suite.
Hector Ruben Rivera is a Puerto Rican music executive, record producer, and A&R veteran whose career has helped define Latin music's global expansion over the past two decades. With over 280 verified credits spanning production, songwriting, engineering, and A&R, and four Billboard Latin Power Players recognitions, Rivera has built one of the most accomplished and multifaceted resumes in the Latin music industry.
Rivera's path began at Audio Vision Studios in Miami, where he developed his ear as a recording engineer alongside some of Latin music's most celebrated artists. That environment brought him into the orbit of producer Sergio George, whose mentorship left a lasting imprint on his creative instincts. It was through that relationship that Rivera stepped into artist management — most notably with multi-platinum Latin pop star Prince Royce — handling day-to-day operations, coordinating tours, and contributing as a producer, arranger, and engineer on multiple projects.
In 2013, Rivera joined Universal Music Publishing Group as Director of A&R for US Latin and Puerto Rico, identifying and signing songwriters, pitching repertoire to major label artists, and developing a deep fluency in the economics and creative dynamics of song publishing.
That foundation led to his defining chapter. Joining Warner Music Latina in 2017, Rivera rose from Senior Director of A&R to Vice President, and ultimately to SVP and Head of A&R Latin Music — the label's highest creative leadership role. His tenure produced the signings of Myke Towers, Ovy On The Drums, Lenny Tavarez, Elena Rose, Paulo Londra, and Kidd Keo, while he also worked closely with established Warner roster artists Danny Ocean and Justin Quiles. He orchestrated a landmark global distribution deal for Myke Towers and, as executive producer of Anitta's "Envolver" — the first song by a Latin solo female artist to reach #1 on Spotify's Global chart, a milestone recognized by the Guinness World Records — helped deliver one of the most significant moments in Latin music's global decade.
In 2025, Rivera received Latin Grammy recognition for his participation on Alejandro Sanz' Best Contemporary Pop Album, further affirming his contributions at the industry's highest level. Billboard recognized his influence four consecutive times on its prestigious Latin Power Players list.
Today, Rivera channels that experience into MARS Music Services — a fully integrated consulting and services operation built to give artists, managers, and independent labels access to the kind of senior-level guidance that shapes careers and protects what they build.
